Global Infrastructure Development....a key investment theme. ForeignAffairs article...

The article below in Foreign Affairs magazine makes the case quite clearly for the investment opportunities related to the global infrastructure build-out.   The challenge, however, remains in selecting the companies that are best positioned to capture the business, and as the article notes, they're likely to be companies far beyond the usual suspects here in the US!
The infrastructure development around the world has been one of the core investment themes in our portfolios for the past few years with a particular emphasis on the industrial sector.  More recently, we've shifted the focus to the emerging middle classes in many EM countries, many of whom are making meaningful impacts on consumer discretionary names.
